OECD local economic and employment development (LEED) programme - recent

I have worked with the OECD LEED programme for many years including reports,study visits and conference presentations.Recently i have made a number of presentations to the LEED committee in Paris including on the OECD Skills Strategy and on Skills and Competiveness(which UKCES cofinanced).Most recently at the OECD Local Economic and Employment Development Annual Forum in Vienna I gave a  opening plenary presentation on ‘Labour Market Policy and Economic Growth’ (March 2011).

In October/November 2011 I gave a plenary presentation on tackling labour market excusion through a 'whole system' approach to skills ,jobs and economic development, at the OECD/Irish Government/Pobal conference on 'Building Quality Jobs in the Recovery' at Dublin Castle. I also did a workshop with Francesca Froy of OECD on tackling skill imbalances.
